Health, Safety & Training Advisor

Reporting to the GM Operations, you will manage all HSE and Training functions for this new operation. Driving and establishing a strong Zero Harm culture across the operation, you will identify, implement and monitor safety requirements and provide Emergency Response support.
 
Responsibilities:
  • You will conduct and lead incident investigation, provide leadership and advice on risk and safety in addition to driving a proactive health and safety culture across the site.
  • Identify required safety training requirements, assist in the development and delivery of safety related and induction training programs.
  • Participate in and assist with development and implementation of mine site emergency response requirements.
  • Advise and assist all departments at the Mine Sites in the areas of health and safety issues including job hazard analysis, various workplace audits and inspections.
  • Site medic and emergency response and emergency assistance, maintain all emergency response equipment.
  • Conduct and lead incident investigations.
  • Conduct, lead and facilitate risk assessments.
  • You will liaise with operations personnel, contractors, communities, local stakeholders and government departments.
Skills and Experience:
Suitably degree qualified and Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment.
3+ yrs HSE experience in a similar mining operation.
Experience in safety training, emergency response and emergency management.
