Manager Engineering Services

Our Client

• An established Southern African Nickel and Cobalt mining operator is currently recruiting for an Engineering Services Manager, reporting to the Divisional Manager Asset Management.

Job Description (including, but not limited to)

• Providing  high quality centralized engineering services (electrical, rigging, machining and fabrication)
• Ensuring the provision of efficient haulage and transportation services to the core process.
• Providing required utilities such as electrical power, telecommunications and water to meet core process requirements.
• Implementing the Asset Management Improvement strategy in department to have a fit for purpose asset base as well as optimize asset availabilities, utilization, resource usage and unit costs.
• Cost effective initiation and implementation of departmental replacement and capital projects.

Candidate Requirements

• B.Eng. Mechanical/Electrical degree
• At least 8 years post qualification experience of which 4 should have been at Section Engineer/ Superintendent level, preferably in a Mining or Heavy Plant engineering services environment.
• Membership of a recognized Engineering Institute
