Senior Technician

Role details:

• To test, repair and provide high level support for complex electronic equipment. 
• To evaluate new equipment, develop repair capability and provide secondary training to internal staff
• N6
• Computer Literate
• Good communications – must be fluent in English
• Must be a team player, be able to work under pressure, be pro-active, must be customer focussed and punctual
• Must have 2 years experience in Electronic Repair
• Asset register is checked on a monthly basis to avoid any loss or damage of the Company assets due to misuse or lack of adequate maintenance.
• Housekeeping must be maintained on a daily basis.
• Ensure all instruments used in performance of job function are within required calibration.
• All non-conformance reports must be rectified within the prescribed time.
• Follow strict adherence to Company policies
• Provide timeous and accurate feedback to relevant stakeholders
• Sort components
• Inspect quality of equipment, sub-assemblies and components
• Perform visual evaluations on equipment for repair
• Assemble, screen and screen equipment, sub-assemblies and components
• Book components in/out of store
• Complete scanning of labour/material and filling in of job card
• Perform functional tests on equipment, sub-assemblies and components
• Perform high level tests on equipment, sub-assemblies and components
• Perform high level repairs to equipment, sub-assemblies and components
• Receive and analyze repair order
