Master Data Coordinator

Role details:

An international manufacturing group is seeking a Master Data Coordinator with technical coding and cataloguing skills for a long term career opportunity.

Essential:

• Technical apprenticeship completed;
• Technical coding and cataloguing skills.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the warehouse and inventory management function
• Responsible for all relevant Supply Chain material and service master data
• Obtaining relevant approvals creation and maintenance of master data
• Expert knowledge of coding and cataloguing standards and best practice
• Adhere to relevant warehouse and inventory management policies, processes, procedures and reporting requirements;
• Coordinate and action all activities involved in the approval, creation and maintenance of material and service master data;
• Investigate and resolve duplicate material masters and ensure the future creation of duplicates are eliminated;
• Catalogue materials and services using agreed template based standards;
• Maintain correct material and service master identification and descriptive data such as short & long descriptions, part & drawing numbers, specifications, material groups etc;
• Maintain SAP material master functional data in consultation with end-users, MRP team and procurement staff;
• Ensure that all special storage and inventory maintenance instructions are kept up to date and stored in SAP;
• Ensure that all MSDS records are kept up to date;
• Comply with relevant quality standards and procedures;
• Take, maintain and store photos of inventory items as appropriate;
• Maintain UOM conversions as appropriate;
• Ensure that all supporting documents are filed both physically and in SAP where applicable
