Regional Sales Manager

Role details:

An International company specializing in creating systems for capturing, analysing and distribution are seeking the services of a Regional Sales Manager.

Key Requirements:

  • Have at least ten years’ experience in a technology role within an IT, engineering or mining company
  • Have a solid sales background a technology business with a track record of achieving targets. Sales experience in the mining industry would be an advantage
  • Should ideally have had three years’ experience in a managerial position
  • Excellent business acumen and ability to read and manage profit and loss statements
  • Direct customer responsibility and experience essential

Key Job Performance Areas:

  • Manage the regional office in terms of revenue growth, cost optimisation, operational standards and customer service in order to align the regional office activities to the company's strategic and brand objectives
  • Ensure that the company’s value proposition is delivered consistently throughout the company
  • Implementing the overall strategic sales plans for the regional office
  • Review performance reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives
  • Review objectives and plans according with current conditions and approved budget
  • Build and manage relationships with customers, business/industry leaders, suppliers and preferred partners
  • Overall day-to-day control of business operations, including:
  • Operational planning and management
  • Maintaining up-to-date information in the CRM and ERP systems
  • Workplace health and safety measures.
  • Environmental protection measures
  • Financial administration, planning and control
  • Budgeting
  • Financial forecasting
  • Attending to insurance / legal / regulatory matters
  • Selecting preferred suppliers and subcontractors
  • Reviewing quality system annually
  • Ensuring the availability of adequately trained staff for work at hand
  • Ensuring that facilities / equipment resources are adequate for work at hand
  • Ensuring that regular maintenance / calibration of equipment is performed
  • Implementation of all policies and procedures and enforcement of company disciplinary code
  • Maintain a working knowledge of technological advances and other trends that may affect the business
