Introduction

A vacancy exists at our Rhino Andalusite Mine in Thabazimbi, Limpopo.
  • The position reports directly to the Mine manager with a dotted line to the HR Manager on functional matters. 
  • The role is to support the Human Resources Division and mining operations with efficient and effective access to accurate information and administration in order to assist in the achievement of organisational.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • HR Degree / Diploma.
  • Must have knowledge of payroll and documentation process flow
  • Minimum 2 years HR admin related work experience
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • Fluency in Sotho or other African language is an added advantage
  • Advance computer skills specifically in Excel and ACCPAC.
  • Unendorsed code 8 drivers licence

Job Specification

Purpose of the Role:
  • To support the Human Resources Division and mining operations with efficient and effective access to accurate information and administration in order to assist in the achievement of organisational objectives through adherence to organisational standards and applicable South African Legislation.

Scope of job:

  • Composition of weekly / monthly time sheets and related administration
  • Coordination & administration relating to HR, payroll and HRTD
  • Customer Service internal and external
  • Coordination and involvement in SLP projects 
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Job Tasks:

  • Ensure timeous and accurate submission of all payroll related information for running the month payroll
  • Initiate all admin related to letters of appointments, contract extensions, transfers, promotions from correctly authorised documentation and that these are submitted accurate and timeously.
  • Internal and external customers are frequently updated as to the progress of their requests / queries.
  • Initiate and submitting all Learning and Development approval forms before any training interventions take place.
  • Initiating and submitting all documentation relating recruitment and selection in accordance with the policy and authorisations framework
  • Accurate record keeping in terms of internal practises wrt payroll, HRTD and HR
  • Submission of various weekly/monthly reporting and recons as set out in internal procedures
  • Assist in the sourcing of CV’s for all A and B grade vacancies in consultation with the HRTD Manager
  • Ensure all WSP and ATR preparation and information is supplied to HRTD within prescribed deadlines.
  • Ensure necessary support is provided timeously as indicated by the HRTD regarding skills development projects such as ABET
  • Learnerships etc.
  • Ensure that accurate minutes are taken and record at various forum meetings and circulated accordingly and ensure copy sent to HR
  • Head Office for record keeping.
  • Ensure attendance at all relevant meetings i.e. SD, HIV AIDS, EE Etc.
  • Ensure that accurate leave forms for all types of leave are completed timeously and copy’s submitted to the payroll department for processing.
  • Ensure that time and attendance system is functioning at all times.
  • Ensure that all filling is kept up to date and filled accurately
  • Coordinate all discussions and documentation relating to deceased, retired and discharged employees and family members
  • Ensure that copies of all documentation (charge sheet, evidence, outcome, warnings, counselling and minute etc relating to disciplinary matters are sent to the HR Division at Head Office for record keeping within 3 working days of the outcome.
  • Assist employees with all queries and escalate where required
  • Visit SLP projects and provide written detailed feedback to MM and HR Division
  • Responsible for answering the switchboard and receiving guest at reception
