Diesel Mechanics

SALARY + BENEFITS (NEGOTIABLE)

INHERENT (MINIMUM) QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be qualified as a Diesel Mechanic and be in possession of legal Trade Test certificate.
• Must have at least 5 years experience on Earth-moving equipment. 
• Must have at least a Code 08 (EB) driver’s license and have reliable transport.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To perform standard maintenance and repair work on all relevant mining vehicles.

KEY RESULTS AREAS

• It is required that the successful application should be competent to perform the following duties:
• Do all prescribed services of TMM’s; 
• Do all repairs of TMM’s;
• Do fault finding;
• Correct fault identification;
• Correct cause analysis on all TMM’s;

Experience in ADT Dump Trucks, Excavators, Front End Loaders, Forklifts and Tractors;

Compliance with all:

• Safety
• Housekeeping 
• Environmental procedures and policies of the Company

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THIS POST

• Medically fit;
• Be able to make decisions on corrective action regarding poor TMM’s performance and mechanical conditions; 
• Have appropriate skills for repairing and maintenance to TMM’s;
• Must have experience in CAT, Bell and Liebherr and Komatsu machines;
• Be able to write Maintenance Requisitions and accident reports correctly;
• Be able to communicate clearly;

HSEC REQUIREMENTS
