Junior Mechanical Engineer

Basic Function:

• Responsible for performing engineering analysis, information mining and documentation for projects related to pipeline integrity and the application of direct assessment principles.

Key Accountabilities:

• Requires a high degree of computer competence
• Requires application of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria on job assignments
• Involves limited exercise of individual discretion or independent judgment in carrying out assigned work
• Assignments are screened for unusual or difficult problems and close supervision is given
• Work must be self checked and error free; Attention to detail is required
• Ample guidance is provided regarding techniques and procedures to be applied to non-routine work
• With experience, should be increasingly able to exercise good engineering judgment on work or task details
• May assume increased responsibility for portions of broader assignments given to more experienced engineers

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proficiency in MS word and Excel is required; experience in CAD or Solidworks is a plus.
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and detail oriented
• Travel may be required; As much as 20%.
• Ability to multi-task on different projects at different levels in a fast paced environment

• BS in Engineering or equivalent required … ideal candidate will have a BS in Mechanical Engineering
