Job Description:
- [Company] is currently seeking an experienced individual for a Mine Geologist position. The hiring client is a mining company located near Winnemucca, Nevada.
- As a Mine Geologist, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, providing necessary geological support for planning as well as communication, and coordination to meet established goals in a safe and efficient manner, providing geological support, including rock-type definition and geological limits for minable reserve and life-of-mine production and cost planning, and providing geological support for the development of optimal short and long term mine plans that will meet production commitments.
- Applicants must have 6-10 years’ experience in mine geology experience, including applicable experience with mine reserves, ore control, mine mapping, rock type and structure definition, and sample quality assurance programs. Strong candidates will have 5 upper management experience. Qualified candidates will have a BS in Geology or Geological Engineering. Candidates must have s strong computer background, including Lotus 123, Word Perfect, Gemcom and Surpac.
- This is a direct hire opportunity. Compensation for this position is $80-$100,000 annually.
