Mining Engineers / Mining Operations Supervisors

Responsibilities:
  • To assist the Mine Manager and/or Assistant Mine Manager all aspects of mine planning, mine development and mine operations
  • To liaise with the mine geologist to do mine planning and to prepare estimates/forecasts for tin production, ore and waste volumes on a monthly, yearly and 5-yearly basis
  • To review and modify/revise the mine plan, as and when necessary to ensure tin production target are achieved
  • To regularly co-ordinate with the mining operations team on the latest mining plan
  • Compile shift, daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly mining statistics
  • Plan and implement an efficient pit dewatering and mine drainage system together with the Mechanical and Electrical Departments
  • Liaise regularly with the other departments of the mine
  • Maintain good relationships with the relevant Government Departments
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in mining, mineral resource engineering or mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Preferably 5 years of operational experience in mining or mining related industries
  • Good inter-personnel skills and a team player
  • Computer and report writing skills in English are essential
