- [Company] . is currently seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer for the Reno office. This individual will be responsible for oversight and independent management of projects and project tasks including interpretation of data, analysis, and development of conclusions and recommendations. Candidate will work directly under senior staff and manage junior professional and technical staff. Candidate must have strong technical skills and demonstrated experience in geotechnical investigations, soil classification, laboratory testing, geotechnical analyses and design, slope stability evaluations, foundation recommendations, mine infrastructure and waste facility development and mine closure design, and report preparation. Experience and education in unsaturated soil mechanics is preferred. Candidate will be responsible for preparing project proposals, managing projects, and interfacing directly with clients.
Job Requirements:
- This position requires current licensure as a Professional Civil Engineer in the state of Nevada or the ability to obtain through reciprocity.
- Candidate must have a minimum 8 years’ experience. Minimum BSCE, MS preferred.
- Candidate must have experience independently managing projects.
- Candidate must be willing to travel domestically and internationally for extended assignments at remote locations.
- Travel percentage up to 20 to 40%. Computer proficiency required and AutoCAD preferred.
- Candidates must exhibit strong writing skill, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent communications skills.
