Superintendent Inventory Control

Our client is developing a large scale mining project in the Central Asian region and they require an Inventory Superintendent to oversee the management of inventory on site. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of policies, procedures and standards within the area and up skilling the local workforce in industry-best practices.

In this key site-based role, you will be responsible for following functions:

• Establishing SOX policies, procedures and requirements and standardizing across all inventory functions. 
• Monitoring site inventory controller compliance against these requirements and coaching inventory controllers.
• Manage site Inventory by developing Standards, Processes and Work Practices for the Inventory Controllers 
• Identification, review and management of potentially obsolete stock and stock under minimum levels 
• Train and support the warehouse and site store team members in the application of policies procedures and standards 
• Train and support warehouse and site store team members in the use of SAP and inventory optimization tools 

Qualifications/ Experience:

• Preferred Degree/Advanced Diploma and/or comparable experience in Logistics/Procurement 
• Minimum 10 years industry experience
• Experience within the mining industry preferred
• Extensive Inventory Management experience 
• SAP experience mandatory

This role will be based Central Asia and will operate on a 4/2 week FIFO roster. A competitive remuneration package will be discussed at interview and will include FIFO allowances.
