THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Surface Landman will be responsible for surface rights acquisition, community relations and consultation and Government relations.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?
• Work to develop positive working relationships with Aboriginal communities local to our operations
• Work with Geophysical Operations Supervisor on community consultation and Government permits
• Coordinate and manage land access for well sites, pipelines and facilities
• Establish and maintain positive relations with all stakeholders, including managing participant involvement and public consultation programs
• Provide direction for area Surface Land Administrators on acquisition status and registration
• Represent Canadian Natural at Surface Rights Board, ERCB hearings, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Typically 3+ years of related industry experience with formal land management training
• Valid Alberta Land Agent and Commissioner for Oaths License
• Familiarity with and understanding of:
o The ERCB’s Directive 56
o Surface lease acquisition and crown application process and coordination
o Planning, organizing, and implementing strategies, programs and activities
