Salary: From £18,000 to £26,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting for a mining recruitment consultant to specialise within the geology function. You will be working International market places, predominantly, the African market, one of the main hubs in the mining industry.
Geologists are responsible for finding the commodity through exploration and research. They look at the trends in the ground through the earth’s surface, the tectonic plates through monitoring position and movements over centuries, climate changes and how this affects the positioning of the commodity.
You will be recruiting in a developing market place, wining business and servicing existing clients alike. It is a ‘colder desk’ so it is a great opportunity to really put your stamp on the industry and build your international reputation. You will be supported through training in both recruitment techniques and industry knowledge. You will also be working alongside another mining recruiter to develop the business area.
You must be able to network and grow your candidate talent pool through market mapping, referrals and LinkedIn as you will need to access the talent in the market who are in high demand. The average placement fee is around £10k and with our unique commission structure in place, earning potential is therefore high.
The ideal candidate will have one or more of the following:
• Experience of working with or exposure to different cultures
• Experience of working within International markets.
• A relevant degree or qualification
• Previous recruitment experience is not essential however; the successful candidate will be self-motivated, driven, with excellent communication skills and able to build positive lasting business relationships.
