Description:
- [Company] Portland office is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Trainer to help further grow our current training program and provide Industrial Hygiene and Safety services for our clients. This position will work with senior project managers, and other industrial hygiene staff to expand existing client relationships and develop new ones, contribute to [Company] capacity in the training and industrial hygiene marketplace, and to:
- Present open enrollment and client specific OSHA , DOT & EPA compliance training
- Develop course curriculum
- Provide support to the Industrial Hygiene/Safety team
Accountabilities:
- The successful candidate will report to a Senior Program Manager and work directly with our team of safety specialists and industrial hygienists and clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. Primary responsibilities will include: presentation of OSHA , DOT, and EPA courses including: HAZWOPER, Emergency Response, OSHA Construction, DOT, First Responder, etc. Familiarity with OSHA Health and Safety regulations and experience in adult education required. OSHA experience and Professional credentials in industrial hygiene and safety preferred.
Knowledge
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in science, or related field.
- 5 to 10-years’ experience as a Health & Safety related trainer.
- Experience with developing health & safety course curriculum from the ground up.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience supervising personnel.
- Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills.
- Working experience with compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA, etc.
