Human Resources Generalist/Manager

Job Description:

  • Seeking qualified Human resources generalist with 5 years of HR manufacturing experience, experience with unions is ideal.

Candidates job duties include:

  • Coach Supervisors regarding discipline, training and work standards
  • Manage payroll and benefits administration
  • Ensure positive employee relations
  • Ensure legal and companywide compliance
  • Oversee headcount and month-end reporting
  • Coordinates and assists management in all staffing and recruiting activities via state agencies, search firms, university relations and advertising.
  • Manage all recruitments and candidates in HRIS system
  • Maintains record keeping and training within ISO/TS standards.
  • Counsels management on Federal and State Employment law.
  • Creates and updates all job descriptions,
  • Work in conjunction with managers and compensation department to ensure wage range and job level consistency.
  • Maintains records on all associate absenteeism.
  • Creates and maintains training matrices and associate training records.
  • Utilize HRIS systems to maintain associate information.
  • Assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee booklets, communication and/or meetings.
  • Maintain positive employee relations
  • Promote Health and Safety program and be site coordinator for Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Minimum BS Degree in Human Resources or associated discipline required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Human Resources environment required
  • Fundamental knowledge of employment laws is required.
  • Basic knowledge of benefits and compensation is required
  • Automotive experience preferable
  • Proven leadership and communications skills required
  • Excellent MS Excel abilities required
  • Knowledge of ADP, PeopleSoft and Taleo are a plus or other HRIS systems
  • 3+ years’ experience in recruitment
  • 3+ years’ experience managing site safety program
  • Candidates must be open to relocation after 2 years.
