Expediting Coordinator

Department Description

• The Customer Service Operations Department in Bethlehem, PA, is seeking an Expediting Coordinator.  The department supports the sales departments within Customer Services.

Brief Description

• The Expediting Coordinator is responsible for coordination and monitoring of the expediting activities.
• It is expected that this position would be one of a team of purchasing professionals who support Pneumatic Transport, Customer Services Projects (CSP), and the Aftermarket (cement and minerals).
• Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, coordinating expediting activities with India support team, expediting and reporting on specific high profile projects/orders, achieving efficient and effective processes to meet on-time delivery goal, and enhance vendor relationships.

Job Requirements

• Monitor contracts from the various sales departments from PO placement to shipment.
• Verify that all purchase orders have been placed for those contracts.
• Confirm that supplier delivery dates for purchase orders meet customer requirements.
• Monitor expediting performance to ensure reliable dates and information are provided to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate inspection requirements between QA/QC and the suppliers to meet contract requirements.
• Follow-up to ensure that inspections have taken place as scheduled and that all required inspection documents have been received.
• Confirm that all shipping instructions have been issued and shipping documents have been received to meet contract requirements.
• Identify incorrect/missed schedule requirements in the process flow and notify the appropriate personnel to take corrective action.
• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement that will support on-time delivery goal.
