Senior Manager - Supply Chain

Job Description

  • [Company] has an opportunity available for a Senior Manager-Supply Chain located at the Hydraulics Group Division Headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. (Candidates can also sit at the Van Wert, OH Hydraulics site).

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the supply chain organization for the Fluid Conveyance (FC) Business within the Americas region. Accountable for all aspects of the supply chain including, Sales and Operations Planning, Materials Management, Procurement Execution, Inventory Management, Logistics, and Supplier Performance Execution (cost, quality, and delivery).
  • Develop and manage the centralized supply chain organization for the FC business in the Americas region.
  • Provide functional leadership to the plant SCM leaders for the FC business in the Americas region. Work closely with the global procurement and logistics teams to link functional activities with Americas performance goals.
  • Responsible for leading the supply response component of the FC business SIOP process to produce the constrained supply plan. Accountable to achieve customer lead time goals for the business.
  • Manage the FC Americas supply base in terms of cost (cost up and cost down), delivery, quality, and capacity. Accountable for the monthly profit plan forecast of material price variance.
  • Work closely with the plant SCM leaders to implement the materials playbook and establish materials planning functional excellence.
  • Implement consistent replenishment strategies across the region to ensure consistent execution and link to the ABC(Q) rapid response initiative.
  • Responsible for the supplier relationship within the profit planning horizon. Responsible to improve supply chain cost and quality within the context of the global strategy. Manage and maintain supplier contracts.
  • Develop and manage the annual inventory improvement plan across the region to ensure that the business achieves DOH goals versus the profit plan.
  • Develop a full tool set of analytics and measures to ensure that the FC supply chain can be monitored sufficiently to develop into a world class supply chain.
  • Develop and central supply chain organization that is tailored and focused towards the critical aspects of the FC supply chain create a world class operating culture.
  • Develop and execute a full suite of supply chain improvement projects focused on cost, quality, delivery, and past due reduction.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements):

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive supply chain experience with focus on materials.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Position Criteria:

  • Experience with progressive organizations focused on step-function improvements in inventory, cost, quality, delivery and business process improvement.
  • Strong ERP system skills.
  • Strong leadership and demonstrated ability in driving change.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic process creation and implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence in a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team in the development and implementation of initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic process creation and implementation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • CPIM certification, or global equivalents.
  • Background in goal deployment, process management and building organizational capability.
  • Management, procurement, sales and operations planning, etc.
  • Project, program management skills.
