Air Quality Permitting Specialist

Job Description:

  • [Company] has an immediate need for an Air Quality Permitting Specialist for a company in Austin, TX. This will be a 6 month contract to hire position with full intentions of going permanent depending on performance after the contract period. The pay is based on the number of recent and relevant experience.

Summary:

  • This position entails performing air emissions calculations; regulatory applicability and compliance evaluations; air permitting and regulatory reporting; project management; mentoring junior staff; client and regulatory agency interaction; and business development.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum BA/BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other related field
  • 2+ years of experience managing air quality projects, preparing air permitting documentation (PBR, New Source Review, etc.), interpreting and applying TCEQ regulatory requirements, and completing emission inventories
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Ability to successfully multi-task and attention to detail are essential
  • Experience working at an Environmental Consulting Company Preferred

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 2 Years Air Permitting Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree In Chemical Engineering
  • Chemistry Or Related Field
  • Experience with Emission Calculations Preferred
  • Knowledge of Air Regulations Required
  • Experience Preparing Applications For Air Permitting Required
  • Experience Working At an Environmental Consulting Company Preferred
  • Role Requires Heavy Research
  • Person Needs To Be Detail Oriented & Have A Strong Willingness To Learn
  • Knowledge of Texas Air Quality Regulations Preferred
