Equipment Operator

Job Description

• Expected to operate equipment unit with a high degree of competence, skill, and proficiency. Assist with maintenance of the vehicle. Inspect equipment components, lubricant system, and maintain fluid levels. Operate stationary equipment, i.e., Conveyor is required. Performs a variety of duties as directed in addition to those described above.

General Responsibilities:

• The position is responsible for loading processed aggregates.
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections and completes daily equipment reports.
• Basic maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices on equipment.
• Performs duties safely, responsibility and proficiently observing all safety and health rules.

Required Skills

• Qualified to operate: front-end loader (to move material and to load customer trucks), dozer and motor grader.
• Knowledge of operation of multiple pieces of heavy off-road equipment 
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience:  Two (2) years of heavy mobile equipment operation in a related field preferred
• License:  Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record required
• Must have sufficient level of education to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature relating to the operation and maintenance of mobile equipment. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English including reading and writing.
