Our client is seeks to appoint a Mine Design for an on one of its projects in South Africa

Minimum requirements:

• Graduate Degrees

Essential Requirements:

• Narrow vein conventional and trackless mining experience essential.
• A recognized Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mining
• Minimum of 10-15 years experience in an underground mining environment
• Ability to use mining software M24D/Gemcom and Surpac
• Mine design
• Capital project feasibility studies
• Resources and reserves
• Physically fit to handle long hours and demanding work schedule

Key Technical Skills Required

• Able to direct and supervise the Mine Planning Team in a safe, timely and cost effective manner
• Ability to prepare sound mining plans and schedules for all current and future areas of operations based on a number of logical development options
• Financial analysis and risk analysis techniques
• Project planning and budgeting skills
• Provide a mentorship role to the national staff
• Teachable & willingness to learn Spanish
• Attention to detail and analytical skills
• Knowledge of Mine Safety requirements
