CWI Technicians with UT Level II Certifications

Responsibilities:

• This is a part-time position; 20-30 hours/week can initially be anticipated and it is expected that the position will grow into a full-time career opportunity.
• AWS certified CWI technician needed for Construction Materials Testing/Geotechnical Engineering firm in the Nashville, TN area. Duties include inspection and testing of structural steel during erection on general building job sites throughout the region, as well as plant inspections. Experience with general construction, structural steel erection and knowledge of AWS and AISC specifications required. ICC, PTI, NICET, ACI, UT, PT certifications a plus. Minimal travel outside the area. Salary negotiable in the range of $18.00-$24.00/hour depending on level of experience and certifications. Most job sites are local to office, and for local projects no per diem will be paid. In the event you are called upon to travel out of the region for a project, per diem will apply. Mileage reimbursed at $0.55/mile. Pre-employment drug screening and drivers license verification required.

Qualifications:

• AWS CWI Certification and UT Level II certifications required.
• ICC, PTI, NICET, ACI, PT certifications a plus.
• PT, ICC High Strength Bolts and Welding experience a plus.
• Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, required.

Notes: [Company] does not supply vehicles; therefore, you must be able to provide a vehicle suitable for use on construction sites. We will compensate you at $0.55/mile for use of your own vehicle for work related activities. Driver’s license verification required; must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the [Company] driving policy.
