Underground Ore Production Manager

Remarkable Mining venture has an outstanding position open for an Underground Ore Production Manager. Only South African citizens, who are suitably qualified and meet the requirements of the position, are eligible to apply for this vacancy.

The mine is one of the largest open pit operations in Southern Africa with a life of mine in excess of 20 years. The mine is looking for highly educated, motivated and dedicated individuals who would like to grow and develop with the mine. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills in a competitive environment, a strong desire to learn new skills, be able to work independently as well as part of a team and enjoy high stress production environments.

Requirements:
  • Matric/ Grade 12 Certificate
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • •Code 08 Drivers License
  • Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
  • National Diploma/ Degree in Mining Engineering
  • Up to 10 years Operational Mining Engineering experience
  • Up to 10 years Management Mining Engineering experience
  • Up to 10 years People Management experience
 Managing People:
  • Identify and develop required skills sets and competencies to achieve business targets
  • Enhance and Manage performance of the team
  • Manage employee relations
  • Establish team work
  • Train and develop employees

SHREQ:
  • Inspect subordinates and area for safety and identify registrations to assure legal compliance
  • Enhance safety awareness throughout working area
  • Ensure working area and equipment is clean, safe and in good working condition
  • Ensure and comply with safety standards guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Ensure PPE is worn during shift and safety rules and regulations adhered to
  • Declaration of safe working place
  • Ensure housekeeping principles are adhered to
Development of business plan:
  • Development and implementation of simple and clear planning system for production
  • Optimization of ore production underground

Preference will be given to Historically disadvantaged individuals.

The candidate must reside in the Mpumalanga area.
