Senior HR Manager

Our Successful International Client is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager for their Edmonton operations. The right candidate will be a collaborative and strategic thinker who will be responsible for managing special projects assigned to Human Resources and working closely with global operations to maintain corporate standards. This role requires a proven track record of being a chameleon in adapting to change, engaging others and an ability to communicate to reach multiple audiences from staff, trades, vendors and clients and up to C-level with a passion for helping others to be successful.

 In this role, you will be held to high ethical and values driven standards with authority as well as accountability in supervision of the Human Resources Group to achieve excellent employee relations, drive responsible recruitment activities, up-hold corporate policy, on-boarding training and performance management, while aligning with the principles of client’s core values and corporate initiatives.

 Potential candidates will have:

  • Over 10 years or more experience in a Human Resources role
  • Exceptional communication and negotiating skills
  • Superior interpersonal and strong personnel management skills
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, privacy and have a reputation as a trusted advisor who recognizes people as a valuable asset and who strives to earn and build trust and mutual respect
  • Strong working knowledge of employment and other legislation related to Human Resources
  • Excellent documentation ability
  • Possess health and safety, environmental, statutory and privacy savvy
  • Strong ethical management and values
  • Demonstrated ability of providing recommendations to managers for corporate policy, coaching counseling and guiding managers on employee performance for corporate results
  • Drive continuous improvement and employee development in helping to identify and advise managers on training or ability enhancements for their staff
  • Experience with industries of mining and manufacturing or oil & gas will be considered a strong asset

 Education:

  • College or University; CHRP or working towards designation

 The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and will be required to obtain and provide a criminal record check
