This role is with one of our clients, an Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Company.
Responsibilities:
The senior contract advisor is responsible for managing the purchasing and contracting function within the project department. Activities comprise, but are not limited to:
• Preparation and maintenance of contract and purchasing registers;
• Provide contract negotiations support;
• Develop, obtain endorsement, implement and maintain contracting strategies for all projects within the portfolio;
• Coordinate expediting and inspection activities where required;
• Ensure compliance with Contractor HES Management requirements, for the applicable contracts;
• Formation of all major contracts, in consultation with the legal department including FEED, EPCI, Service Contracts and Purchase Orders;
• Organize and conduct bid clarification meetings;
• Preparation of technical and commercial bid evaluation criteria and implementation of such criteria in the contract evaluation process;
• Consolidating data in concise recommendations for management review;
• Managing, coordinating and administrating contracts and purchase orders;
• Entering contract commitments and change orders into proprietary database application;
• Liaising with Project Controls Advisor to ensure cost and schedule compliance;
• Ensuring compliance with company contract and procurement policies;
• Assisting with input to monthly project reports for status of contracts.
Job requirement:
• As a minimum a Bachelor Degree, preferably in a technical discipline;
• Minimum of 5-10 years of contract administration experience, preferably in the offshore oil and gas industry;
• Experience with contracts under both Dutch (civil) and English (common) law preferable;
• Proven ability to manage and administer mining contracts;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills;
• Excellent negotiating skills;
• Fluency in MS Office suite of applications;
• Fluent in English essential;
