Site Project Engineers

Position Summary

Candidates perform various project assignments requiring general familiarity with project management work and coordinate the activities of various modernization/revamp projects for the client. Candidate will be assigned to a client site. Experience with Instrumentation and Controls is preferred for this Project Engineering role.

 Duties/Responsibilities:

• Developing, approving and coordinating work Schedules to ensure cost, quality and time objectives are met
• Developing and recommending improvements in design standards
• Investigating, advising and resolving complex design and field engineering problems
• Develop guidelines and initiating investigations
• Establishing and maintaining client contacts Skills

 Qualifications:

• Registration as a Professional Engineer with a minimum 8 years EPC and petrochemical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous experience with Petrochemical Refinery projects an asset
• General understanding of project management and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other disciplines/fields
• Working knowledge of the established guidelines, procedures and practices as well as other departments, suppliers and contractors within EPC firms.
• Multi-disciplinary experience: knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other disciplines (process, civil/structural, instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, piping).
• Working knowledge of planning and control methods.
• General understanding of industry and regulatory standards and design criteria.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal & written
