Various Experienced Underground Mining Opportunities - FIFO Cairns, Townsville & Brisbane

Due to the Start up of new contracts in QLD Barminco is seeking experienced underground miners and fitters to join our team. We are currently looking to fill positions ranging from Service Crew through to Shift supervisors.  This also includes Maintenance staff. 

These positions are both Fly in, Fly out of Cairns,Townsville and Brisbane

Due to the health & safety clearance requirements of Barminco's sites of operation, applicants should satisfy the following criteria:
  • Hold a valid and current Drivers' License for the state in which you wish to apply for employment;
  • Be able to participate in a pre-employment medical and fitness for work (drug and alcohol) assessment;
  • Be able to produce a Federal Police Clearance (which must be presented upon interview). 
In addition applicants must have:
  • Have previous experience within the mining industry (where exposure to underground mining will be highly regarded);  
  • Can demonstrate a proactive attitude toward health and safety;
  • Are able to balance work and personal commitments, whilst still offering reasonable flexibility to their employer;
  • Display a commitment and enthusiasm for pursuing a career in the mining industry;
  • Hold a positive work ethic, are able to use their initiative and have a strong willingness to learn;
  • Possess leadership potential and wish to grow and develop their career with a leading underground mining contractor; and
  • Can demonstrate customer focus toward Barminco's clients, as well as contribute to achieving Barminco's goals through effective teamwork.
