Process Leader

A large mining / engineering company based in Gauteng is urgently looking for a Process Leader.

Minimum requirements
  • Chemical engineering degree
  • 3 - 5 years knowledge on management of incinerator/kiln operations
  • 3 - 5 years supervisory and process optimization.
Duties
  • The purpose of this role is to supervise the fluidised beds, the incineration of carbon, copper plant, zinc leach plant and the spiral plant. To work together with the Snr Process Engineer in order to introduce the pre-concentration units for treating related materials. To supervise, train formulate and review budget set for the secondary processes on an annual basis.
  • Complete the daily reports for the spiral, copper leach and incinerator plants.
  • Ensure that daily plant targets are achieved.
  • Complete the reports for the plant strategy OEE file including milestones achieved.
  • Perform equipment inspections and planned job observations daily.
  • Perform metal accounting of products by supervising the weighing and assaying products.
  • Assist with project implementation by recommending process changes and improvements.
  • Ensure that stocktaking is conducted monthly.
  • Assist the auditors through preparation and input where required.
  • Ensure that the scales are correctly calibrated in order to check bag weights.
  • Conduct investigations to cover for deviations vs budget.
  • Ensure that SHERQ lifestyle is enhanced and security kept at highest alert.
