Are you our next Mine or Float Crew Supervisor?
- We are currently seeking a Mine or Float Crew Supervisor for our South Ft. Meade, Florida location. The purpose of this position is to coordinate and direct field support for draglines and pumping systems. Ensure that field crew complies with all safety and environmental regulations, and adheres to company policy and best-demonstrated practices. Responsible for conducting audits and inspections. Reviews and authorizes work permits.
What will you do?
- Coordinate all pit moves, cable re-routes, site preparation for pit water pumping and systems availability for maintenance to ensure continuity of production.
- Direct inspections of matrix and tailings pumping systems to ensure continuity of production
- Perform short-term planning for dragline work to mine on contact and place spoil for matrix recovery and ore dilution reduction.
- Supervise and direct daily activities of crew to assure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and efficient mine operation.
- Direct and supervise inspections of crossings, power cables, flagging cables and heavy equipment by the tractors and field crews to assure safety, integrity and reliability of systems is maintained.
- Conduct safety meetings and perform miscellaneous job-related duties.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of mining experience –OR—Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mining discipline.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Must be an effective leader and have positive influence on hourly work force.
- Good motivational, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to work effectively with Maintenance, Permitting, Mines Planning, Mine Strategy and Engineering staff.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
