Principal Ecological Consultant

Our client is a leading independent consultancy, specialising in providing professional advice in the environmental development and management sector.

This award winning company are currently in the market for an experienced Principal Ecologist to join their Stoke office in the West Midlands.

Salary - Negotiable and depends on relevant experience (includes excellent benefits package)

In order to be considered for this position, you must hold previous consultancy experience in the Ecology sector, demonstrating strong team leadership and project management qualities. It is vital that you hold previous team leadership skills associated with the management and development of an existing Ecological team. Furthermore, you must also hold excellent surveying and report writing techniques, supported with the possession of atleast 1 protected species license. A proven track record in project management and business development is essential.

Duties of the role will include writing environmental statements and ecological reports with particular emphasis on EIA, managing a team of highly skilled and talented Ecologists, managing projects across the UK, mentoring and developing the skills of Junior Ecologists, and assisting the Director of Ecology in overall business development.
