Responsibilities:
- Apply engineering and physics principles to the engineered design of Mining Equipment
- Capable of developing conceptual designs
- Contribute value in design reviews
- Utilize CAD to design components and assemblies
- Conduct appropriate calculations and analysis
- Prioritize and coordinate RFPDs
- Create documentation in the ERN and RFPD system
- Capable of performing most MRB tasks
- Participate in resolution of engineering issues in manufacturing department or field
- May initiate drawing update or RFPD
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technology, preferably in Design
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of equivalent design of mechanical systems and structural fabrications, preferably on Construction or Mining type of equipment
- Must have strong working knowledge of SolidWorks
- CSWP preferred and PDM software
- MS Windows, Excel and Word
- MS Project and Lotus Notes (for RFPD/ERN) experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are a must propriate calculations and analysis
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks
