Smart Services Remote Monitoring Technician

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and reporting – equipment health and processes.
• Drive ongoing development and improvement of the Monitoring Centre’s effectiveness.
• Machine support – advise customers on technical information and fault finding.
• Coordinate the ordering and/or issuing of parts and subs.
• Take calls – deal with and closing of the loop with case management tool
• Disseminate information within the organization, Joy Mining Machinery – Americas.

Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of an Associates Degree in a related field or 2-3 years of equipment progressive practical experience in machine rebuilds or diagnostics. The successful candidate will understand Joy mining systems and their application, have strong electrical skills. Underground experience on JOY Mining Equipment is preferred. The ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic and electrical schematics is necessary. Candidate should be proficient in the use of a personal computer (Word, Excel, Avenue and SAP).
The incumbent :

• Must be technical (understand the equipment, fix and advise)
• Observes equipment operation to ensure proper performance. Suggests necessary improvements.
• Collect and manage Key Performance Indicators
• Act as liaison between Joy and mine personnel
• Observes equipment operation to ensure proper performance. Suggests necessary improvements.
• Submit timely and comprehensive Customer Relationship Management Reports related to machine performance and other activities
• Work closely with Joy reliability engineers.
• Counsels customer in maintenance of equipment
• Act as primary liaison and coordinator between LCM coordinator and dedicated trainer for resolving customer issues and developing training curriculum.
