Senior Buyer - SCM

Job Description

• Eaton Corporation's Hydraulics Division, located in Eden Prairie, MN, has an opportunity for a Senior Buyer-SCM to support the North America Purchasing Team.
• The Senior Buyer role is responsible for the procurement of direct materials as assigned / required. Assures continuity of material supply required for N.A. Manufacturing facilities. Responsible for overall supplier on time delivery, quality and cost requirements. This role will also require leadership in the development, deployment and execution of commodity / supply strategies. Act as a mentor/ resource that provides guidance to the buying organization based on experience and knowledge level.
• Implement and execute commodity strategy to support divisional cost, quality, delivery, supplier reduction, and diversity sourcing goals.
• Develop and execute supply strategy and supply agreement for assigned commodity to support plant delivery goals.
• Manage aggregate supplier capacity planning, develop and execute constraint mitigation plan.
• Collaborate in SIOP process to build a consensus plan inclusive of supplier capacity capabilities.
• Responsible for the Management of purchase records in the MRP systems (Pricing, lead times, min buy quantities…).
• Responsible for the Management of supplier records in the MRP system and Wisper system.
• Responsible for executing MRP action messages and executing.
• Purchase orders and supplier schedule.
• Responsible for the establishment and implementation of pull production / stocking arrangements with suppliers.
• Responsible for the Management of ECN and MPS changes, and maintenance of purchase records in the MRP system.
• Responsible for specific commodity supplier QOS process.
• Manage ramp up / ramp down phase 5 of sourcing process working closely with user plant.
• Develop positive ethical relationships with suppliers.
• Adhere to Eaton standard sourcing process and divisional operating procedures.
• Develop and continuously improve standardized purchasing process / divisional operating procedures.
• Manage Supplier invoice reconciliation process (AP12 / 13).
• Manage supplier compliance with Eaton Corporate initiatives.
• Work closely with customer plants and suppliers (travel).

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)

• Minimum 4 years Manufacturing, Operations, or Supply Chain experience.
• Bachelors in Business Administration, Engineering, or Supply Chain from an accredited institution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or Masters in a related field.
• Broad commodity or technical experience.
• Experience and knowledge of Oracle or MFG Pro systems.
• CPSM or CPIM certification.
