OHS Manager – Chemical Manufacturing / Mining – Perth WA

Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a strong OHS Manager who has a solid background working in the Chemical Manufacturing and/or the Chemical batch manufacturing industry; ideally with exposure to working onsite in an OHS Management capacity.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct incident investigations and analyse information collected
- Compile incident reports
- Implement corrective measures where necessary and monitor progress
- On the job assistance and training when required, without prompting
- Leading by example; to enforce team effectiveness and OHS procedures are always met and achieved
- Ensuring Zero Harm is consistently achieved
- Guiding, coaching and one on one training
- Working as part of a team to further develop OHS components for the whole company
- Building relationships and ensuring growth occurs with all necessary stakeholders
MUST have:
- Tertiary Qualifications in OHS or HSE
- Minimum 4 years’ experience within role and ideally from an OHS background.
- Legislation understanding
- High level or written and verbal communication
- Coaching, project management, negotiation, customer care and strategic thinking are some of the must have requirements for this role.
The ideal candidate will have clear evidence of Team leadership; with an extensive understanding of people management and implementing workplace OHS.
Remuneration:
Salary will be based on skills and experience; however candidates can expect to achieve a realistic salary in the region of between $120,000 - $130,000 + Super + Bonuses.
