- The Golder Pittsburgh office is currently seeking a junior safety and health professional that will implement and maintain company safety
- and health programs for projects (e.g., environmental, geotechnical and construction) throughout the Appalachian Basin. The safety and health programs will focus on ensuring safe and compliant work environments for Golder employees. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to provide external client safety and health services in the region. Job activities may involve field safety and health studies, industrial hygiene sampling, regulatory compliance, data assessment, and report preparation under the direction of a senior safety and health professional. The successful candidate will be required to work in office and field settings, and must work well with others, including coworkers, subcontractors, and client representatives. The candidate must comply with all security, health, safety, and environmental requirements at project sites.
Requirements:
- BS in Safety and Health or other related fields, MS preferred;
- Approximately 1-3 years of relevant experience;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with a positive attitude and the ability to work in both field and client settings, with direction from senior health and safety professionals;
- Willing and able to travel about 50% of the time, often to remote locations and in various climates;
- Willing to work on other client projects in roles that may not be directly related to safety and health, on an as-needed basis (e.g., environmental sampling);
- Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel;
- 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER health and safety training preferred;
- Local candidates are preferred; no relocation will be provided;
- Must pass a physical examination as a condition of employment;
