Geologist/Hydrogeologist/Environmental Engineer

- [Company] is an employee owned company specializing in ground engineering and environmental services. We are seeking an entry to mid-level Geologist/Hydrogeologist/Environmental Engineer for our Manchester, NH office.
Demonstrated experience in the following areas is a plus:
- Subsurface investigation processes including: drilling, soil classification, and well installation
- Groundwater, surface water, and soil sampling techniques and procedures
- Data interpretation and report writing
- Preparation of geologic boring logs, cross-sections, groundwater contour maps and isoconcentration maps
- Operation, maintenance and monitoring of remedial systems
- Phase I environmental site assessments and Phase II contaminated site investigations
- The position requires strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, and strong computer skills including Word and Excel. This position will involve a mix of office and field work. Also extended local, national, and/or international overnight travel and fieldwork as dictated by project demands. Candidate must be willing to operate and maintain field testing and monitoring equipment, and able to lift 50 pounds.
- The qualified candidate shall have a Bachelor Degree in geology, hydrogeology or environmental engineering, and 0 to 3 years of environmental project experience.
Job Requirements:
- Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
- Advanced degree(s), e.g. Masters or PH.D. in geology, hyrdogeology or environmental engineering;
- Specialized computer skills including database applications, groundwater and contaminant modeling software, AutoCAD and/or gINT;
- Practical experience within New Hampshire and Massachusetts and working knowledge of the NHDES and MassDEP regulations;
- Mechanical aptitude;
- Ability to work independently and within groups; and
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER health and safety training and annual refreshers.
