About our Client
As a world leader in its chosen commodities, this company has highly renowned high grade deposits and is currently building a strong reputation for itself as a world leading supplier. Due to the company's continued growth, they are now seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to take on a key leadership role specialising in mine planning and scheduling at one of the company's open pit mine sites.
Job Description
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the Senior Mining Engineer will be responsible for;
Managing the scheduling and mine design functions of the operation
Producing short and medium term mine plans and schedules
Ensuring all short and medium term plans are in alignment with long term mine requirements
Development and optimisation of mine plans
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess;
Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
A WA Unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate or be close to obtaining one
Significant levels of experience in an open pit mining environment
A strong understanding of Australian mining standards and software packages
