Senior Mine Surveyor
Design & Build is seeking a Senior Mine Surveyor for a leading WA based Civil and Mining Contractor. This is a FIFO Role from Perth working on a 9:5 Roster
Due to expansion of Mine Operations and contract extension, this is a business critical role reporting to the Managing Mine Surveyor. This is a long term contact on one of Australia's largest Iron Ore sites.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Mine Surveyor will include:
• Conducting and co-ordination of survey controls
Monitoring the site work and making sure this carried out in accordance with site standards
Monitoring and mentoring the junior surveyors on site
Comply and maintain HS&E standards and policy
Establishing strong rapport with colleagues in the team as well as other teams within the operation
To succeed in the Senior Mine Surveyor role you will need:
• Tertiary Qualification ideally in Mining or Surveying
• A strong knowledge of software including Vulcan
A minimum of 5 years experience in the mining industry
A proven track record in safety and environment
Experience in open pit mining
Knowledge and understanding of the Australian market and ideally experience in WA
