Shipping and Packing Tech

Job Description

• [Company] Corporation located in Eden Prairie, MN has an immediate opening for a 2nd shift Shipping and Packing Tech.

The primary responsibilities for this position are:

• Place finished products for shipment or storage in shipping containers.
• Unload and load merchandise from freight cars and trucks.
• Unpack, shelve, or otherwise store merchandise in proper storage location; moving merchandise around warehouse by hand, truck, or other method.
• Load and unload merchandise for painting.
• Perform finished goods inventory cycle counting.
• Run the U.P.S. manifesting station.
• Follow plant, safety, and environmental rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Model the [Company] ethical conduct policy, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable.
• Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts

A successful Shipping and Packing Tech will have the following skills:

• Use of simple arithmetic
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to operate picker and reach truck.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Requires good problem solving skills.
• Ability to work any shift, at least 40 hours per week with possible overtime as required.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) required for this position are:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited school.
• 1 year experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• At this time, relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (50 mile radius) will be considered.
