Job Description

• [Company] has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Assistant (Employee Services Associate) at its Mon Valley - Irvin plant location near Pittsburgh, PA.

Roles & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide front line customer service to employees at all levels including benefit counseling, answering inquiries, assisting with elections and directing issues.
• Support all aspects of the represented employee bidding process.
• Support the recruiting process including screening, testing, interviewing, monitoring status of pre-employment process, on-boarding, etc.
• Administer full scope of benefits to represented and non-represented employees.
• Maintain electronic benefit records and employee personnel files.
• Perform general clerical duties, including: photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing, maintain office supplies.

Minimum qualifications for the role

• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to deal with all levels of the organization
• Ability to multitask and handle competing priorities under pressure while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to manage confidential information
• Minimum two years relevant experience supporting HR Managers and their client groups.
• High school diploma/GED required

Desired qualifications for the role

• HR experience in a steel manufacturing facility, desired.
• Knowledge of human resources laws and regulations.
• Must have a working knowledge of plant organizations and structure.
