One of Australia's leading mining consultancies is currently seeking a senior management professional, within their underground division for a Principal Mining Consultant to be Brisbane based. With offices across the globe and greenfield and brownfield projects covering various commodities, geographical locations and mining techniques this market leader is looking to further expand their current services within the Queensland coal mining sector.


This position is a permanent role reporting directly to the Operations Manager in the Brisbane office an includes the management of an existing team of Mining Engineering professionals and further expansion a key focus in the teams strategic direction.


As the Principal Mining Consultant you will possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining or Civil Engineering or similar
• Coal mining experience across various mining techniques
• Experience with mine plans (conceptual, pre feasibility, feasibility)
• Established networks within your professional portfolio
• Mine planning & scheduling software knowledge (Vulcan, XPAC, Talpac)
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills within a multi disciplinary technical teams
• Proven people management in a similar environment
