GBS Business Analyst SAP Production Planning

Responsibilities

Through our market leading divisions -- P&H Mining Equipment and Joy Mining Machinery-- we manufacture original equipment and aftermarket parts and services for underground and surface mining equipment. [Company] products and related services are used extensively for the mining of coal, copper, iron, gold and other mineral resources and the company employs 8,500 people worldwide.
  • [Company] . offers excellent benefits, a continual focus on training and development and a financially sound company in a growing industry. We are currently looking to add a Business Analyst to Global Business Solutions (GBS) Division in our Warrendale facility in Franklin, PA location.
  • We are running version 6.0 of SAP’s ERP system without bolt-ons. The Business Analyst will work on a global team to support and implement SAP/R3 in our 2 business units: [Company] Machinery, and P&H Mining Equipment. Our operations in Australia, North America, South America, United Kingdom, Africa, and Asia. Travel is estimated to average 50%. The supervisor for this position is located in the US. Co-workers are located throughout the organization, a few in each country. Ideally the successful candidate will reside in Franklin, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, develop and document system change requests, modifications and results per departmental systems life cycle & audit guidelines.
  • Focus is Materials Management which includes purchasing, inventory and warehousing.
  • Independent requirements planning, long term planning, master data (i.e., bill of material, routers, work centers), MRP, scheduling, capacity planning, production orders (i.e., make to order, make to stock, and collective), labor reporting, quality plans, inspection lots and defect reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a business or systems related field.
  • 2-3 years prior experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to drill down to the source of a problem.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP or other ERP system.
  • Experience in implementing SAP or an ERP system.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization and possess effective leadership skills.
  • Experience with the PP (Production Planning) & QM (Quality Management) modules of SAP.
  • Analysis of global business processes and procedures, recommendation of approaches for new or improved processes, collection of business requirements and translation into technical specifications.
  • SAP configuration, testing of developments and business processes, training setup and delivery, documentation of processes, troubleshooting of software or business problems, participation in projects to rollout SAP to new offices or enhancements to the business.
