RecruitR is working with one of the biggest & best miners in the business. The international company has interests in a range of commodities and boasts multiple operations throughout Australia. The company has significant interests in Queensland's Bowen Basin as well as interstate however they are currently seeking to expand their technical services team based out of their Brisbane office. This role represents a great opportunity for a Principal Mining Engineer to take their career to new heights while having the much sought after benefit of being based in a capital city.

Your position as Principal Mine Engineer would see you reporting to the Planning Superintendent and being responsible for providing support across multiple sites and contributing to the growth plans for the mine sites in the future.

Other responsibilities would include:
  • Creation and implementation of mine production schedules & designs that provide a safe working environment, a continuous coal supply, and effective and efficient waste movement
  • Communicate improvements initiatives to supervisors or management
  • Ensure mine designs & plans are agreed to geotechnical, economic and operational parameters
This successful applicant will possess:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mining or Civil)
  • Experience in open cut coal mining
  • Demonstrated sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate with various mine software packages
  • The ability to take ownership of the work
