Job Description
As Principal Resource Geologist you will have an extensive and challenging role which is not limited in any way to;
- Carrying out resource estimates, geostatistical studies, audits, due diligence studies, feasibility studies and technical reports
- Conducting project management for efficient delivery of planned profit and growth
- Assisting in providing direction and support to the growth and balance of the group
- Leading by example to instigate and follow safe work practices; promote the physical security of our people and assets;
- Developing new and maintaining existing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and vendors to enhance engagement and service levels and support market and knowledge sharing;
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum Bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary institution in Geology
- Member AusIMM, AIG or similar ROPO
- Extensive operational experience in the Mining sector, including in both open pit and underground mines, including resource estimation and mine planning
- Significant management skills
- Very strong skills in geostatistics, variography, and linear and non-linear estimation methods
- Exposure to multiple commodities including Au, Ni, Cu Pb, Zn, Fe, U, PGM's
- Skilled in mining and geostatistical software, preferably Datamine, Vulcan, Surpac, Isatis
- Experience in implementing and assessment of data collection protocols and analytical data quality control (QA/QC)
- Familiarity with the various international reporting standards (JORC Code, NI43-101, SAMREC etc)
