Geology Manager


Our client is based in East Java and currently has an exciting opportunity for a Geology Manager to get involved in a Cu-Au Porphyry Deposit project.

The Geology Manager will report to Senior Manager Operations and will be accountable for the management of all geological aspects of the development of the Project’s deposits and ensuring the ongoing success of the project.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Management of the Geology department to a high standard;
  • Liaising with drilling and exploration management on planning and implementation of drill programme;
  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant Acts, legal requirements, ethical standards and Project policies;
  • Management of spatial databases for the development of the deposits and other regional targets;
  • Accurate and timely reporting of financials, asset management and cost control;
  • Manage development and ongoing training of geological staff;
  • Setting and maintaining high technical standards for the geology team;
  • Management of all relevant contractors involved in the exploration and development;

To be considered for this role you will possess:

  • A Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology;
  • 10 plus years experience in mine and exploration geology;
  • Geological management and supervision experience;
  • Experience in minerals exploration, particularly Cu-Au porphyry systems;
  • High level of experience in core-logging, geological interpretations, wireframing and geostatistical applications;
  • Proven experience in QA/QC management and supervision.
