• The Underground District conducts its operations primarily through Kiewit Construction Company , a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation . Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, we construct underground facilities across the U.S. and Canada for projects related to transportation, environmental facilities, power, mining and telecommunications.

Responsibilities

• Performing daily work inspections.
• Liaising between contractors. 
• Efficiently solving problems that arise. 
• Monitoring and adhering to established budgetary guidelines for job, and ensuring that cost control measures are being followed so that we are completing work at the lowest cost. 
• Enforcing job safety guidelines, and ensuring job safety training and awareness for all personnel.
• Ensuring that all quality assurance and company standards are being met on all jobs. 
• Completing the job schedule and coordinating work with contractors and deliveries with suppliers and ensure inspections are scheduled appropriately.

Qualifications

• Possess 3-5 years’ experience as a General Foreman or Superintendent, a degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology or equivalent program is an asset. 
• Know Industrial Construction safety and current Federal and OSHA requirements.
• Have proven experience in successfully managing Union labor crews of 20-50 craft employees at a time.
• Understand electrical systems, including but not limited to: Underground layout and installation and instrumentation.
• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
• Demonstrate superior organization and time management skills.
• Work independently as well as part of a team.
• Exhibit outstanding attention to detail with a keen ability to recognize discrepancies. 
• Accurately read and interpret drawing specifications in order to implement procedures for assembly, erection and setting of equipment and components.
• Be able to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment.
