WYN Recruitment are seeking an HSE Manager for a massive multibillion dollar underground mining project offering a secure and long term contract position. This ground breaking project is sure to be a leader in all areas of construction using new and advised technology.
The mine was recently given the go ahead for a new expansion phase, moving it from an open cut project and taking it underground. This phase will be predominantly underground construction and installation requiring high quality development and engineering excellence.
The mine covers around 450,000 square meters and reaches a depth about 600 metres at its deepest point. The open cut is nearing the end of its life and is due to close this year and progress completely underground.
As the Senior HSE Manager your day to day duties will include (but not all):
Develop and implement safety management system for early works activities.
Identify and manage principal contractors obligations.
Co-ordinate site inspections, conduct site audits.
Develop project risk registers.
Coordinate incident, injury and hazard investigations.
Develop project documentation.
Develop and implement safety management systems.

To be considered for this position you MUST have experience in the following areas:
An excellent proven track record managing large scale projects (underground would be a massive bonus)
5 years minimum experience in management roles
5 years minimum experience working on EPCM projects
Be able to liaise with clients on all levels
Be able to work in harsh environments
Please be aware to be considered for this position EPCM experience is essential and cannot be over looked.
