Electrical Design Drafter - 6 to 12 month contract working in the Mining sector

Position: 
Due to a steady increase in business this well established organisation requires a Control Systems Engineer to join the Project team, working on various Power and Protection projects across a variety of sectors. 

Candidate: 

• Exceptional communication skills are vital as you will be liaising directly with key clients and suppliers. In this position you will be expected to work on projects both autonomously and within your team. 
• Proven PLC/Scada design and configuration/programming capability within the Mining Industry
• Oral communication skills, especially with clients.
• Written communication skills.
• Technical/practical skills in at least some of the following areas: 
• Low voltage and medium voltage motor control
• PLC Control systems - design and programming, esp Allen-Bradley Control Logix and SLC500, and Modicon Quantum/Momentum systems
• Supervisory/SCADA systems - design and configuration, esp. Citect, Honeywell Plantscape, Rockwell RSView
• Telemetry Systems - Kingfisher, Miri, Hunter WaterTech
• Computer networking (Windows 2000/NT, Novell)
• Software development (Visual Basic, C++, Java, Active X)
• On-site commissioning
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Computer literate (eg. Spreadsheets, scheduling, word processing, e-mail).
• Estimating (system hardware/software costs and engineering man-hours).

Qualifications/Requirements: 
Reporting to the Senior Systems Engineering Supervisor, you are a skilled Engineer who is actively seeking a new position which will permit you the opportunity to display your competency and experience in PLC programming. The diversity of projects and the level of technical requirements will allow you to apply your knowledge and offer you industry leading experience. 

• SCADA/DCS systems design
• Development of Automation systems
• PLC Programming
• Testing and commissioning
• Cabinet Layout design (AutoCAD 10)
• Field troubleshooting experience.

Essentially you will hold a Degree in Electrical/Control Systems Engineering.
