Mechanical Engineer

Description and Desired Qualifications

• Help provide technical and application support for our engineering and design group. Our Mechanical Engineer jobs provide you with an opportunity to work on state of the art industrial manufacturing facilities that include microelectronics, data centers, heavy industrial, research & development, and general manufacturing. Each day you will perform the routine aspects of assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principals. You should be a self-motivated, team-focused individual that has a Mechanical Engineering degree, 4 years of HVAC design experience and has the desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each new Mechanical Engineering project.

Our Mechanical Engineers:

• Perform layout and design of HVAC systems for various types of industrial clients including general manufacturing, microelectronics, datacenters, food and beverage, consumer products, aerospace, aviation, chemicals and pharmaceutical facilities.
• Work with systems which would include general comfort heating and cooling, those with accurate temperature or humidity control, unique pressurization requirements, and/or cleanliness requirements for clean rooms or current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) applications.
• Develop the design criteria which would define the requirements which the systems would be required to deliver.
• Develop conceptual design and preliminary design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), and general arrangements.
• Develop final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation as well as the HVAC ductwork layout and final construction documents.
• Possess a thorough knowledge of codes and cGMPs related to the design of industrial and manufacturing facilities and systems.
• Assist in the development of junior personnel.
• Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Follow direction and collaborate with both client representatives and other internal team members.
• Must be able to execute tasks within budget and scope.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• 4-12 years of mechanical HVAC design
• AutoCAD experience
• Experience in wet/dry side system layout, equipment selection, specification write up, and multidisciplie coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

• PE license a plus
• Understanding of code design provisions important
• Semiconductor facility design experience a plus
