Marketing Engineering Intern

Position Summary

• This position will support business and marketing personnel by performing tasks associated with promoting & launching IEC contactors, breakers, starters, and motor protection products. This may include preparing launch collateral and product demo’s, as well as performing product evaluations, competitive comparisons, and possibly distributor and/or customer training. This position will report to the Business Team Leader, but take daily guidance from the applicable Product Manager.

Essential Functions:
Functional Expertise

• Be familiar with the use of computers to record and retrieve data of various types from Information Systems and compile it into summaries and reports using computer word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Demonstrate creativity in promotion of products and business.

Leadership/Change

Takes responsibility for continuous development and understands the potential business impact of contributions. Also is accountable for results and own performance.

Interpersonal

• Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, providing information and support in the solution of quality, product service, and design problems. Learns [Company] terms needed to communicate with others throughout the company. Display solid listening skills, and a demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• This person should be working towards a B.S. Degree in Engineering in the area of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or other related field. Junior Standing is preferred, but not a requirement. Must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum 3.00 GPA.
